I had the opportunity to do a video endorsement for Mapex Drums during SXSW. I was so impressed with the Black Panther Snare that the Mapex guys asked if we could shoot a video. Hell yeah! Mapex, Im a fan!

Bryce Young, Engineer and partner for Sledge Hammer Audio has just started his new company Warm Audio  and has partnered with Neurotic Artist Studios for his branding.  We just picked up the last hand made SledgeHammer Dual Class A Microphone Pre-Amp for the studio!

Soon he will be shipping the Warm Audio 312-Z Single Mic Pre-Amps and were looking forw2ard to picking one up and doing a revue. I cant wait to connect this pre to my rack! Its going right next to the Avalon.

Ive completed the mixes for heavy rockers “Downtown Bruno” – They came in with the intent to track some heavy demos and left with some Country and R&B songs! It always amazes me what can come out of a group or solo artist when given the freedom and encouragement to explore and try new things.

I added the Universal Audio Studor A800 Multitrack Tape plug-in to all my group busses and master outputs and you can really hear the difference! Warm and in your face like an analogue recording. I love the UAD Plugins!

I had the honor to be Sound Engineer for Mpress Records acclaimed SXSW day party this year. They are based out of New York with a lot of great talent on the roster, fun video of the afternoon!

With 3 songs almost complete for a demo to shop, sessions continue for the upcoming Victoria Love CD.  If you like a  mix of PJ Harvey, Nine Inch Nails and a little Perfect Circle mixed in, you are going to really like the new songs. Acoustic based, dark themes, heavy drums and guitars with a dose of industrial, stutter and smashing for flavor.
